On 28 June I came upon a Slashdot discussion
about a re-worked version of Spider-Man comics for India. Being a tech
site the topic of outsourcing naturally came up. One Afrosheen
said My
favorite character is Outsource Man! He can do any job any American can,
but cheaper!
I was inspired to write
the following:
Outsource Man. Outsource Man. Does whatever an Ameri-can. Cuts some code, any size. Just does it at, half the price. Look out! Here comes the Outsource Man! Is he smart? Listen, pal. He graduated from Isical. He can write, multi-thread, And reduces your overhead. Hey, there! There goes the Outsource Man!
It's not great, but I wrote it in about five minutes, to include looking up the lyrics and finding an appropriate Indian University. I'm pretty proud of that.
I hope that no one takes this as hateful toward or degrading of Indians. I like Indians as well as I like anybody. I also am a big fan of the free market. It smarts to lose a major part of the job pool I'd like to draw from to another country, but that's the harsh reality of the free market.
I make a t-shirt every day. Sometimes they're funny. Get the t-shirt feed.
One of my current projects is the Free
Curriculum Project. It's slow going, but I have high hopes.
The Free Software Foundation is doing very
important work for the future of computing and Freedom.
The JPFO is a fantastic organization.
Please check them out. They want me to link to them with the phrase
Jewish Firearms
for some
reason.

What's up with those Amazon links?
